Sebastian John is a former news photo editor and press photographer who worked for National Geographic News, The Associated Press, K12 Inc, and other magazines and newspapers. He ventured into the world of photography after a MS in Geology and MA in Journalism. Initially trying to cut his teeth as a photojournalist, a photo workshop in 2001 introduced him to the world of a photo editor. Ever since he has curated and killed images, occasionally venturing out to write and photograph long-term essays.
